About

An IIT Bombay graduate with a Bachelor of Technology in Engineering Physics. As an undergraduate researcher at STARLab, I worked on improving the localization pipeline of the Gamma-Ray Bursts (GRBs) detected by the CZTI payload onboard AstroSat. I streamlined the use of the pipeline after implementing a way to eliminate noisy detectors and localize the fainter GRBs, improving the accuracy and the range of the GRB localization, using Python and Bash. I have gained experience in DS/ML through assignments and group projects, of course, DS 203 - Programming for Data Science. Through this course, I learnt Python, concepts of data science, logistic regression, classification, the steps in data analysis, and creating an ML model from EDA & Visualization to presenting the ML model built. I also got introduced to tools like MySQL, virtual machines, and PySpark while working on the projects individually as well as in a team. Served as one of the first Co-Managers of the Physics Journal Club, a club formed by undergrads for the freshers and sophomores to gain insight into the plethora of research opportunities available to them, and how they can start and make the most out of them. I like astrophysics, writing, singing, piano, sketching, and solving maths problems.
