As part of Video Advertising team, I've done several interesting projects.
1. Rebuilding (design, implement & review) the back-end architecture for serving Video Ads and related infrastructure, including the APIs, multiple caching layers i.e LRU In memory and Redis, performance-oriented serialization and throughput-oriented Java NIO asynchronous HTTP-client.
2. Built the complete backend service, scaled to 200 QPS, for the Real-Time Bidding, conducting an auction, and thus determining the best candidate to display its AD.
3. Designed and implemented, a heuristic and rules-based geometric algorithm, to find optimal positions to display In-Feed / InArticle Ads in any Web Page. This not only made the user experience better but also directly impacted the revenue by multiple folds, thus working much better than the already established approach.
4. Implemented/Reviewed several features in the front-end side of internal Dashboard, used for complete setup/configurations of ads and advertisement reports, using HTML, CSS, javascript, and angularJS.
