• Building PhonePe Insurance as part of the Platforms team:
• Designed and implemented a distributed locking service for NoSQL databases, integrating HBase/Aerospike. This provided clients with options for efficient storage and retrieval of locking data, ensuring high availability and consistency.
• Developed a Versioning Bundle to manage dataset versioning, enabling gradual rollout and rollback mechanisms through a defined state transition flow. The bundle is database-agnostic, offering clients the flexibility to use any database system.
• Revamped the Catalogue service by implementing a custom client-specific hub model, eliminating the dependency on Jelastic and enhancing system flexibility and performance.
• Built a pipeline to ingest daily customer data into our centralised service Identity Store to be used for analytics, cross-selling, better recommendations, prefilling.
• Built a generic prefilling library that works on different data sources, performs the priority based logic and validations. Also allows the clients to override these at any stage in the flow. This resulted in immediate increase of 400 policies per day for Motor Insurance
• Fixed a bug that was causing daily memory increase of 5 GB in Aerospike
• Participated in Multiple DR activities to make systems robust and compliant
• Working on the design to make Policy Storage Service independent of any other downstream services.
• Worked on multiple ad-hoc and on-call tasks to give 24*7 availability for the systems to improve system resilience, such as refactoring dependency management to simplify it and integrating Ranger on top of Zookeeper to eliminate manual efforts in case of system failures.
• Interviewed candidates and mentored new joiners to support organizational growth and development.
