• Pulkit Mathur was hired by HSBC under their “Change The Bank” initiative, where he worked on innovative projects in data analysis, governance, and enablement. During his tenure at HSBC Technology India, he received extensive training in R, Big Data, and predictive modeling, facilitated by Infosys.
• He began with Incident Data Analysis, applying ARIMA models to forecast hardware and software incidents, enabling efficient maintenance staff planning. Pulkit expanded this project by using text mining techniques to identify potential root causes for recurring issues.
• In the Data Governance team, he supported the implementation of Collibra, automating workflows using Groovy scripting. Later, as part of the Big Data Enablement team, he developed data pipelines for seamless integration between mainframe systems and AWS using technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache NiFi, and IBM CDC.
• Pulkit’s work was further recognized when he became a semifinalist in HSBC’s global hackathon, Code Grind, for creating a virtual assistant using Amazon Alexa and AWS.

• Pulkit Mathur interned at BlackRock for six months, working with the Automation team to streamline processes and reduce human error. He developed a Java-based framework leveraging in-house APIs, which minimized manual intervention and improved operational accuracy. Pulkit also collaborated with the Innovation team to create a centralized search portal that consolidated data across the organization, significantly reducing the time and effort required to retrieve critical information. This proof of concept was presented internationally across BlackRock’s offices, earning widespread recognition and contributing to his offer for a full-time role at the firm.
