About

I am a Device Engineer for emerging non-volatile memories IP development. I was a Design Engineer for the memories design enablement at GlobalFoundries. I worked on architecture design and verification of NVM IPs. I did my PhD as a Prime Minister's Research Fellow at Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay. My research interests include emerging memories for neuromorphic and in-memory computing. My focus is on Physics based modelling of RRAM devices and demonstrating control over programming using circuit and characterization strategies. I apply these models for accelerating optimization applications using networks like Boltzmann Machines. I design algorithms for spiking neural networks and stochastic recurrent networks to find avenues for hardware acceleration using device physics. I have worked on a variety of semiconductor and memory technologies: SOI, RRAM, Flash, and FeRAM, comparing and contrasting their features to suit a particular in-memory and neuromorphic computing applications like speech and image recognition, navigation and optimization. I have co-authored 8 journal and 12 conference papers in leading electronic devices, semiconductor modelling, electronic materials, AI/ML, neural networks, sensors and circuits conferences. I have collaborated with Semiconductor Research Corporation and Intel's Neuromorphic Research Community with proposals written and granted for several completed and ongoing projects. I have mentored over 40 students during the academic tenure publishing in collaboration with more than 20 students.
