• ● Built a gateway service using Kong to avoid DoS attacks and add an authentication layer in front of our services with a Redis cluster
• ● Revamped the Elasticsearch infra, with capacity estimations around shards, nodes, instance types, EBS volumes, and monitoring. This reduced total infrastructure costs by ~70% and increased availability
• ● Revamped the existing legacy Search service in Golang. This reduced the hardware requirements significantly and allowed us to process 2x the number of requests with the same hardware achieving significant cost efficiency. Also added better observability, and support for A/B testing.
• ● Created an orchestrator service, using Temporal, and Cassandra, that can run long-running workflows, spanning from a few hours to multiple days which handled a peak load of 100 workflows per second
