• Worked with 2 startups on different projects related to Data Engineering & MLOps, and Backend.
• Project-1:
• Designed and built a base architecture for data and ML infrastructure. Designs and technologies used: Medallion Architecture, Lakehouse using Deltalake, Spark, and AWS Sagemaker.
• Built in-house wrappers and data transformation framework using Spark. Created a data lake to organize data from various touch points of customers from YouTube, Product interactions, SEO, and Social Media.
• Hosted jupyter notebook cluster backed by Spark. Also, foundational infra for the DS team (of 10+ people) to function in a self-serve manner. Led team to success by hiring, mentoring, and coaching.
• 'Lead Scoring' model which provides a 2.5X lift in prospect-to-customer conversion in sales funnel.
• Project-2:
• Analysis of all API flows for an e-commerce application. Profiled and identified the bottlenecks in response times.
• Reduced the average and 99%ile response times by 10X and 50X respectively. Introduced cache warming and denormalized data models to handle spiky traffic.
• Proposed a new architecture to address future needs in increasing SKUs and concurrent users. Also, laid the foundations of event-driven design to extend analytics and add new microservices.

We’ve built a “food brain”, an organized store of all digital data of food (from alternative data sources), enriched with domain knowledge of F&B. We're helping the F&B industry with key challenges including new product development, and insights & trends.
• Our Vision - Develop a food cognition platform.
• Key Highlights:
• Our platform and insights are used by some of the industry giants like Pepsi, Kraft Heinz, and 25+ other players.
• Formed a leadership team. Built an overall org of 45+ people across several functions. Defined org culture, leadership principles, and performance review frameworks.
• Built an end-to-end technology platform crunching 100TB+ data from scratch that powers 3 data products: SaaS, DaaS (Data-as-a-Service), and insights & analytics. It also includes 14+ languages spread across the world. Hired and led the overall tech team of 25 people across 6 functions.
• A few core capabilities include - data pipelines (both stream and batch processing), LLMs for the F&B domain, Knowledge graphs, ML inference systems (for 30+ models), web scraping platform (50M+ pages per day across 30K websites), self-serve analytics & data processing, and backend.
