• Overall responsible for making Sync, Async & Edge services - Scalable, Stable, Fault Tolerant, Performant, Operable, Cost Controlled & Observable from Software perspective. These services form the backbone of Qubole Control Plane. In this role, I have been fortunate enough to make a significant impact across the board, here is a summary:
• Co-Led the overall tech effort to build new highly scalable API Gateway on GoLang with world class design & features. This reduced our GW infra cost by 50x and improved performance by 5x and allowed developers to embed custom logic on the edge.
• Came up with an innovative SW solution to rollout edge services using the concept of HTTP request mirroring.
• Architected and Solved burst & fairness problems by moving our Long running Asynchronous Job Platform to YARN / K8s container scheduling model which was built in-house.
• Came up with effective strategy to reduce async platform infra cost by 40% using Machine Learning & many more insights.
• Led the overall tech effort to move our Azure Control Plane deployment from AWS VM to Azure K8s without any downtime.
• Significantly improved the visibility of our web services platform at granular dimensions by building a Time Series solution using ELK & leveraging structured nginx log data.
• Came up with precise Infra capacity algorithms as a function of load for sync & async services. This reduced the operational headache of capacity management for Operations team during major releases.

• Designed & led the effort for API Throttling feature to safeguard our systems from rogue users during stress.
• Reduced Redis cache memory utilisation from 80% to just 12% by coming up neat insights
