As a Senior Engineering Manager I've been leading a Product Engineering division (3 teams, ~20 people) responsible for designing and developing a set of AI capabilities and tools that enable doctors to diagnose lung cancer more effectively and reduce the toil of managing patients that require long term diagnostics and treatment support.
  • My key achievements in this role include:
  • building the foundation for the division: doubling the size of the team, setting processes around ownership and communication with other divisions;
  • increasing frequency and quality of product releases – from one release every six months to one every six weeks;
  • setting the DevOps fundamentals and improving engineering excellence practices in the teams: implementing observability across all products, setting on call / maintenance practices in order to reduce time to respond, mitigate and decrease number of outages, improving architecture and development processes and practices which resulted in reduction of incidents and bugs from daily occurrence to an infrequent annoyance.
