About

I have always been attracted towards big and impactful problems. Because of my Computer Science background, interest in new technologies, and a good Product intuition, I have spent most of my career solving interesting problems using tech and product innovations. Besides technology, some specific topics I like to read, think and talk about are digital media and journalism, consumer psychology, power of communities, impact of technology on organizational structure and employment etc.

Trevo

CTO & Co-founder

Jul 2015Nov 2015 · 4 mos · New Delhi Area, India

  • Trevo plans to make your daily travel much more convenient, reliable and hassle-free.
  • Today either there are low-cost public transport options like the bus / metros which cost < Rs 2 /km, but are extremely uncomfortable and overcrowded, or at the other spectrum there are door-to-door options like Uber / UberPool, which are convenient but heavy on the pocket (i.e. > Rs 10-15 /km), to be used for daily use. Auto are in the middle, which are somewhat convenient but again decently expensive (~Rs 10 /km). There is a huge gap in between, a massive market to be addressed.
  • Trevo is a network of private buses and mini-buses, which are highly convenient, predictable and reliable for your daily travel, maybe it be to your workplace or to your college or to your tuition class or whatsoever it maybe. It gives you the convenience to pre-book your seat, to track your bus in real-time, so now no waiting at the bus stop, enjoy your in-bus ride with value added services like free high-speed wifi, magazines / newspapers, charging stations, in-bus entertainment system, and of course a place to connect with your co-travellers.
  • We are a passionate bunch of entrepreneurs who aspire and will solve this problem using tech. and robust processes.

Talentpad

CTO & Co-founder

Jan 2013Jul 2015 · 2 yrs 6 mos · New Delhi Area, India

  • TalentPad was a second generation recruiting marketplace powered by technology and data-science with efficient "matching" being the differentiator. Improved matching was led by capturing detailed structured data-sets, using heuristics and data science to efficiently match employers with potential pre-screened potential candidates, while taking into account subjective preferences and biases of employers.
  • At Talentpad, we achieved some significant milestones in a short span of time.
  • Partnered with more than 1500+ companies and scaled the business to a revenue run-rate of a $1million.
  • Funded by Helion Ventures, TalentPad was awarded as the "Most innovative startup" in the recruiting space at the HR Tech conference in 2014.
  • As Co-Founder and CTO, I owned Technology and Product functions, and was instrumental in
  • Building first version of product from scratch alone
  • Building a team of 12 exceptionally talented engineers and designers with great past experiences
  • Integration of acquired assessment platform OptimizedBits in early 2015.

Clipr

Co-Founder

Aug 2012Aug 2013 · 1 yr · Mumbai Area, India

  • Ideated the first social e-commerce platform in India, to enable social discovery of non commoditized products, and build a community around it.
  • Being responsible for tech, I built
  • The entire platform from scratch.
  • Tools to selectively auto fetch products along with structured meta-data about them from across e-commerce sites to kick start the content creation.
  • An intuitive scrapbooking feature to increase engagement
  • Other experimental features for promotional activities like "price drop alerts" for re-engagement.
  • We partnered with 10+ e-commerce sites for monetization.
  • However, we realized that with e-commerce only just picking up pace in India, and most of purchases being discount driven, it was a little too early for a discovery platform in India
