• The aim of the internship was to achieve functionality using hand gestures for robots, pursued as a work from home opportunity amid pandemic. We connected to Temi and Double3 Robots via android apps remotely and tested some basic functionality and sensors provided. Then, developed android apps based on a self-trained CNN model in Tensorflow using a self-generated data set.
• At the end of the internship, I was awarded the letter of recommendation by Prof. Darwin Lau for exemplary contributions within a small time period

• Associated with a project under Prof. Sujeet Kumar Sinha in which we aim to have simple interface/mechanism through which user can himself replace the dirty and worn-out filters. We innovated conventional air purifiers in which changing filters is a tedious task due to unavailability of technical servicemen. We achieved a CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate) of more than 300 with a minimum cost of manufacturing
• Working on this project, I researched about different filters of an air purifier and their need. I modelled the air flow through our design using ANSYS. We have finalized our design and have begun the fabrication of a prototype.

• Associated with a project under Prof. Shubhendu Bhasin in which we aim to developed a ROS based self-localization two-wheel differential drive mobile robot for autonomous navigation in a static environment using wheel encoders and ZED Stereo camera, attaining 100% funds from IRD. We implemented Stereo Vision with a Convolutional Neural Network tracker to follow or avoid a person in real-time while implementing SLAM for Autonomous Navigation.
• Working on this project, I learned kinematics of wheeled robots, longitudinal and lateral control of self localizing robots, development in ROS environment and implementation of python modules in ROS.
