Adarsh Agrahari — Co-Founder
I used to think that if you built something great, customers would come. That was wrong. At HCS, I spent months perfecting the product, only to realize no one cared. The hardest part was not the technology. It was convincing people they needed it at all. We knocked on doors, tried everything, and eventually figured out what worked. That experience changed the way I think about products. A great product is not something you build—it is something you uncover. At Paytail, I made a different mistake. We assumed people wanted sophisticated financial products. They didn’t. They wanted something that just worked. We cut features, removed friction, and suddenly, adoption tripled overnight. That was another lesson: most of the time, the answer is not adding more. It’s removing everything unnecessary. Now at HROne, I lead product for HR software. It is an industry where complexity builds up invisibly over time—until one day, people wake up and realize their tools are exhausting to use. The challenge is not just adding features. It is removing enough pain that people stop noticing the software at all. I also mentor product managers and advise startups. Most founders and PMs don’t need more frameworks. They need to answer three simple questions: 1/ What is the simplest version of this that still works? 2/ What assumption, if wrong, breaks everything? 3/ Are we solving a real problem, or just an interesting one? Somewhere along the way, I started writing—three books so far, two on personal finance, one on product management. Writing, like product, forces clarity. If you cannot explain something simply, you probably do not understand it well enough. Outside of work, I run, cook, and read. Running clears my mind. Cooking forces iteration. Reading (100+ books and counting) is a way to keep learning from people who have already figured things out. If you are working on something interesting or trying to solve a hard problem, let’s talk.
