As someone who used to be Developer and pivoted into a Security role, I understand both the worlds deeply and leverage this unique combination of building & breaking to make Products secure. As a Pentester, I work alongside Developers in enabling them to employ security at earlier stages which includes Architecture reviews, tools, knowledge sharing through L&D initiatives, making them understand vulnerabilities and their fixes I currently work as a Security Software Engineer in SERPENT team under Azure Edge+Platform Security org at Microsoft. I have strong expertise in conducting end-to-end Security assessments of products which includes Threat Modelling, Static Application Security Testing (SAST), Dynamic Application Security Testing (DAST), Pipeline Security, Operational Security(Azure Cloud), Variant Hunting and understanding Detection gaps. I also have strong expertise in writing tools focused around security & process automation while leveraging AI and addressing security at scale. I am a strong advocate for learning through sharing and mentoring, have valuable contributions to the null Security community and I'm currently one of the chapter leads to null Hyderabad. Prior to pivoting to Security, I used to be a Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in ASP.NET, MVC, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, WinRT Framework for Windows Phone, Cross platform mobile application development using Xamarin and Azure Services I used to a Microsoft Student Partner during my academic days and was an evangelist/trainer for Microsoft products like Windows Phone and Azure I hold a Master's degree in Computer applications focused on Software Engineering I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Software Systems focused on Cyber Security.
