Growing up, I had dyslexia, a disorder that embroiled me in several academic failures. I survived only because my mother and brother didn't give up on me. Education became close to my heart, early on. Hailing from a background where a career in corporate wasn't the norm, I struggled to land my first internship, and first full-time role, after college and business school, simply because I wasn't prepared. I was clueless about what I wanted and how to go about it. This made me realise that if I am struggling to figure out what to do next in my career, write my MBA application essays, or prepare for my target job interviews, despite graduating from the most pedigreed educational institutions in the country, then this problem would be plaguing others as well. To solve for this problem at scale, I am building Career Edge, a platform that is democratising access to mentorship for all working professionals and college graduates through intensive career programs on placement and b-school preparation. I completed my bachelors from Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies (SSCBS), University of Delhi, where I was fortunate to win a gold medal for academic excellence.
