1.Responsible for Scoping and Leading the High/Low Level Design and Development of Recommendation Service(Productionising ML Based Model to be served at 650-800 QPS at p95 latency of < 20ms) from Ground Up which is currently used by warehouse Associates in Amazon Robotic Fulfillment Centers World Wide for getting directives to identify storage spaces for Inbound Inventory. This recommendation engine is expected to cut down time spent in manual decision making by associates and thus improving their productivity leading to annualized savings of ~160M USD worth of labour hours.
2.Built an algorithmic recommendation engine which is used by Amazon Warehouse Associates to get storage recommendation for Inbound Inventory in Grocery Warehouses. This tool is currently being used in multiple Amazon Warehouses in North America , Europe region and has positively impacted Food and Safety compliance of Inventory in a Warehouse.
3.Re-Designed and Implemented a Highly Configurable Feature which is responsible for regulating the volume of Inventory which can stored(virtually) in High-Shelf Bins in Warehouse. Optimized the implementation to reduce the Cache storage memory usage by 88.5% and improved the runtime execution latency from 20ms to 16ms (20%) compared to older implementation for storing the configuration. This feature is currently deployed in Amazon Warehouses World Wide and reduced the safety incidents and inventory damage due to items falling off from High-Shelf Bins.
[Engineering Excellence] Took Self-Initiative of making Tier-1 Microservice of our team achieve Full- CD by following the industry best practices which has helped in reducing the blast radius in case of bad deployments. Ownership of Scaling and Maintaining of Tier-1 services for Peak Traffic like Prime Day, Cyber Monday etc.
