Hi, My name is Mark, and I have been shaping great experiences at the intersection of design, technology, and innovation for over 15 years. As a Lead in Design, Research, and Innovation, I build teams, identify leadership talent, and drive projects with a hands-on approach—whether as an AI expert, developer, designer, or researcher. I have built multiple teams—starting as an Individual Contributor and then growing teams from within, whether at Telekom Innovation Labs, startups, agencies, or Jio—and have scaled design processes to create impactful solutions for millions of users. For over 10 years, I have also been working on design systems, most recently with an exceptional team on a Headless Design System for adaptive interfaces serving 600 million users. My experience spans startups such as Komoot, Horizn-Studios, and German Autolabs, DAX corporations such as Deutsche Telekom, Deutsche Bank, Adidas, Siemens, and Mercedes-Benz, and global brands like Nike, BBC, Toshiba, and Apple. My expertise lies in User Research, UX and Service Design, Design Strategy, and visionary prototyping, combined with Lean & Agile methodologies. My focus is on solutions that drive people, the environment, and businesses forward. My work has been recognized with iF Design Award, German Design Award, Red Dot, UX Design Award, and the Chicago Good Design Award. However, more important than awards is the impact—on users, businesses, and the teams I help build.   • As Vice President of Design & Experience at Jio, I have the privilege of contributing to a company that has revolutionised the telecommunications industry. Under the leadership of Mukesh Ambani, Jio has built an impressive customer base of nearly 600 million and set new benchmarks in reach, innovation, and design value.
  • Jio's entry into the market in 2016 was a digital revolution. By offering affordable data plans and free voice calls, Jio democratised internet access in India, significantly bridging the digital divide and empowering millions.
  • At Jio, I led various initiatives to merge innovative design with outstanding user experiences. For example, I developed the 15 Experience Standards Design Operations Framework, which promotes a customer-oriented and sustainable design organisation, creating significant business value. This framework was implemented across all Jio products. Other responsibilities included transforming the design organisation, talent acquisition, skill development, organisational design, and process optimisation of the design team.
