About

I am a co-founder and engineer at Dashtoon, a startup that is on a mission to make visual storytelling reach more creators and consumers. Before Dashtoon, I was an associate director of product and engineering at Udaan.com, a leading B2B e-commerce platform in India, where I led the infrastructure team that reduced the cloud costs by 60% and enabled a hybrid cloud model for the company. I also worked as an architect and founding engineer at Morphle Labs, a digital pathology startup, where I built a whole slide scanner and AI tools for cancer diagnosis and blood slide analysis.

  • Advised by Dr. Aamir Ahmad. The project aims to develop a multi-robot decentralised 3D tracking system using aerial robots. I developed a stereo from fish-eye camera using plane-sweep stereo and am currently working on shifting this into a variable moving baseline using robot poses. All processing is being done on-board Odroid processor which runs Telekyb which is an open-source framework for aerial robot control.
  • I also developed a ROS Wrapper for ARM Boards for Basler Ace USB 3.0 Camera and designed Camera Holder Parts which were 3D printed.

  • I developed and improved the vision module for the detection and orientation estimation of the robots from an over-head feed. Also, I developed the strategy module that will select what action to be run by which robot and added a heuristic method to select the same for improved performance.. I participated in FIRA World Cup held in Malaysia 2013 and Beijing 2014 and were the only Indian team to win the match. We were also the only team to manufacture our own robots unlike industrially manufactured purchased robots used by other teams.

  • Advised by Prof. Srikanthan. The project aimed to develop a pedestrian tracking system on a moving car for an advanced driver assistance system.
  • I developed a pedestrian tracker using Kalman Filter that improved pedestrian detection using tracking information. I also worked on ego-motion compensation for the same since the camera feed was from a moving vehicle. The modified method increased detection speed using tracking data by reducing the search area for detection.
