The Constable On Patrol (COP) App is an advanced Android application designed to enhance the effectiveness of foot patrolling by the Delhi Police. The app features real-time tracking of constables, a dynamic crime map, and a public feedback mechanism. These functionalities provide constables with critical situational awareness, enabling them to focus efforts in high-crime areas and improving overall public safety.
I spearheaded the backend development of the COP App, an advanced application designed to enhance police operations in Delhi. My contributions include implementing a secure OTP-based login system, designing a role-based access control framework for personalized and secure user access, and developing a Socket.IO-based connection for real-time location tracking. Additionally, I implemented JWT authentication for scalable user verification and session management, and designed the database schema, building the entire database using MongoDB. These efforts aim to improve coordination, resource allocation, and community interaction, ultimately contributing to a safer environment for Delhi residents.
