SIP Connector
Project Description:
Development of SIP connector for Smartcall 5.0 release - Smart Call a missed call and in-call feature server requires various types of communication capabilities to carry out the processing of requests or events coming from the network or the services running on it. Currently Smart Call supports interfacing with Parlay Gateway to send/receive IN messages and with SMSC to send/receive SMS. The current project involves adding SIP support to the platform. This will enable the platform to seamlessly communicate with SIP network elements and get deployed in IMS or other packet switched networks.
Key Responsibilities:
Involved in design, development and unit testing of SIP connector to provide SIP interface support to platform.
Involved in integrating the SIP connector to existing Smart Call Platform and make the existing in-call and missed call services run on SIP.
Migration of the Application Server platform from Weblogic 8.5 to Oracle Weblogic 10gR3 release. Upgrading the deployment descriptors for new templates, software build process refactoring to compile with the latest server libraries and deployment templates creation automation.
UT and IT of the platform, application and connectors with new server environment.
Platform compatibility with MySQL database as an alternative DBMS for Oracle.

Project Description:
The Service Management System (SMS) is a highly scalable, application and database independent, J2EE compatible solution that enables customers to manage service deployment, configuration, service subscription data for Aconyx Network Services Platform clusters and related network elements. The architecture of Aconyx SMS is based on Java 2 Enterprise Edition (J2EE) application server standards. The SMS system supports a variety of interfaces for integrating with external clients and systems including SOAP/XML, RMI, SQL and CORBA. It enables SMS functions using Web-based graphical user interfaces and/or telephonic user interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
Member of the SMS team involved in design, development and unit testing of SMS platform to provide provisioning functions to Aconyx NSP platform.
Played a key and leading role to help deploy this platform in the network of a leading service provider in Latin America.
Engineering support to existing SMS deployments.
Best Employee Honour for bringing up critical update of the Application Server and related components to later releases of industry standard software versions.
