I am a Software Developer at Zomato with a strong academic background. I am a B.Tech (Hons.) graduate of IIT Ropar Majoring in Chemical Engineering and minor in Computer Science and Engineering with CGPA of 8.60. I'm an enthusiastic learner with my areas of interest in Machine Learning, Computer Vision and Algorithm Design. I am currently a FrontEnd Developer more specifically working on 3 Android apps of Zomato. namely Consumer, Merchant and Hyperpure. Some of the major things that I have worked on and am proud of is overriding our entire App's context. To override the functionality of resources methods, to prioritise Backend resources before the app's. This enables us to change, for example strings of our app without us requiring to change the string in our android's xml file and further requiring us to release another version of the app (Which takes time for the userbase to adopt). Second thing that i worked on was implementing an ocr model to detect the word Zomato from a photo. Which would be used to award the user a coupon. We tried modifying the images for better accuracy but ultimately dropped the project. Third major thing which i worked on was a socket connection for getting updates on new incoming orders and their status (waiting, preparing, ready). Keeping it in sync with all the devices. These are a few however I have worked on many other cool projects with Zomato :)
