• During my internship, I had the opportunity to work on an exciting project that involved making a product GDPR compliant. The project required a combination of Java programming skills and knowledge of AWS CDK (Cloud Development Kit).
• My role was to implement the necessary changes and enhancements to the existing product to ensure compliance with GDPR regulations. This involved analyzing the product's data handling processes, identifying areas that needed improvement, and implementing the necessary changes.
• Using my Java programming skills, I worked on updating the product's codebase to incorporate privacy-by-design principles. I implemented data anonymization and pseudonymization techniques, ensuring that personal data was properly protected and identifiable information was securely handled.
• Additionally, I leveraged the power of AWS CDK to build and deploy infrastructure resources that supported GDPR compliance. I utilized AWS services such as AWS Lambda, Amazon S3, and Amazon RDS to create a secure and scalable environment for data storage and processing.
• Throughout the internship, I collaborated with a team of experienced developers and data privacy experts. We conducted thorough reviews and testing to ensure that the implemented changes met the stringent requirements of GDPR.
• This internship experience provided me with valuable insights into the practical implementation of GDPR compliance in a real-world software product. I gained hands-on experience in Java programming, AWS CDK, and the importance of data privacy and security.
• Overall, this internship allowed me to apply my technical skills, learn new technologies, and contribute to a meaningful project that had a direct impact on ensuring data protection and privacy for end-users. It was an invaluable experience that enhanced my understanding of regulatory compliance and software development practices.
