Manoj Mani Nair — Design Manager

Hi, I'm a user experience and product designer based out of Bangalore, India. I advocate user centric design principles in people, startups and organizations that I work with. I rely on real insights through user research and data science to inform my design process while designing solutions for businesses with seamless experiences for its users. Design to me is much bigger than just a set of screens. People's connection to products and services start well before their first contact with the product and are reminiscent throughout their journey and association with the product or service. I approach design from this holistic viewpoint right down to the details that make the product. I hold a post graduate degree in design from the National Institute of Design, India and also a bachelors degree in Computer Science & Engineering. I initially interned with Microsoft India Development Center, learning and contributing to their Office team. Later, I moved on to work with Housing.com as a Senior UX Designer where I designed experiences for buying and selling homes, conducted user research and built home buyer personas, created user journeys and led usability sessions for all buyer transaction flows. Following which, I led the design effort at Jumbotail, designing experiences for the next billion people of India in the food and grocery space. In my most recent role, I designed experiences for Amazon Pay. I currently design for Google's Android TV platform. I co-created things like Floot, a platform for students to share their room; and Zoelt, an initiative to encourage new artist to share their work every week. I've also helped startups like Gymmy, TheWeddingCompany and Ekalavyas to kickstart their respective products through design. I've also advocated design by speaking at events like Google Developer Group, Belgaum and Startup Leadership Program, Bangalore.
