Hey there! It's Aseem. I'm self-taught and have worn many hats in a career spanning more than 17 years. I am known for being well-versed in all stages of software development, from requirements to design, implementation, testing, and release. For me, software development is more than just a paycheck—it's a hobby I genuinely enjoy pursuing. I am pretty pragmatic and appreciate both the business and technical aspects of software development, which help me build products that are agile, delightful, and profitable. As a technology leader, I've built teams around processes & achieved peak performance by training & motivation. With my keen interest in usability, interface design, design systems, and typography, I focus on creating user-centric, simple, consistent, and stand-out products. I am someone who just identifies & solves problems without even being asked to solve the problem— identify the problem, go solve it, not necessarily update everyone every step of the way, not ask silly questions, and finally come up with solutions. Because building a company/product is an infinite set of problems that are being thrown at you. Led the frontend team for an enterprise mobile application in react native built on the camunda business process automation engine.
Key Accomplishments -
Designed the multi-layer architecture of the React Native mobile app. The architecture comprised presentation & container components, state managers, domain/business logic layer, factory layer, API & HTTP layers.
Architected the design system using Shopify restyle, which eliminated the use of inline styles & CSS/SCSS and streamlined the development process, saving time and effort.
I successfully advocated for the TAWAL product owners to initiate the UI/UX process by establishing a design system. Given the absence of a third-party UI library, developing a design system was imperative before commencing any user interface creation. This strategic decision facilitated the standardization of the component library and fostered a tidy codebase.
We introduced shift-left testing, where multiple releases would be made for every feature in a sprint. This helped tremendously, as bugs were identified earlier than at the sprint's end.
Trained the team on low-level design, which helped reduce ambiguity, catch edge cases earlier, and make the implementation phase more transparent and straightforward.

When I joined 91springboard, we were stuck with COBOT, a SaaS platform seriously lacking essential features like taxation support, meeting room bookings, multi-tenancy, and QuickBooks integration. Our operations and finance team manually created, recorded, and tracked thousands of invoices every month, causing major headaches.
Building the Platform:
I knew we needed a tailored solution. I spearheaded the development of a bespoke internal platform. Within three months, we launched version 1 of our co-working platform. Over the next two years, we continued to enhance the platform with more features and automation.
Wins:
We achieved 100% automation of the invoicing process, allowing for customized pricing plans for each customer and accounting for team changes that impact final prices and invoice calculations.
Online payments were reconciled and synced seamlessly with QuickBooks, reducing manual and error-prone work done by the finance team.
Cost Savings: Realized substantial cost savings by eliminating the $2-$3 per member fee associated with the SaaS platform, resulting in an annual saving of approximately USD 200k.
Successfully launched GST-ready platform on July 1, 2017, ensuring compliance with GST regulations for invoicing and payment processes. Worked with finance and technical teams to integrate accurate GST-enabled invoices and payment records with QuickBooks.
Members can easily book meeting rooms through the platform, eliminating scheduling conflicts and manual oversight. We also implemented rules to detect overuse and send alerts/warnings to democratize meeting room usage.
Support Ticketing: Implemented a responsive system on top of Intercom to address member issues quickly.
Architectural Excellence:
Designed and implemented a robust multi-tenant architecture that supported the organizational structure.
It ensured each co-working centre operated with its own profit & loss centres, seamlessly linked to individual QuickBooks instances.
