Himanshu Kumar Das — CEO
I started my security journey back in 2003 from "crackmes.de" (solving/contributing challenges). Reverse Engineering was quite popular back then but scope was limited to crackmes,keygens,packers/unpackers. I spent nearly 2 years mastering assembly(motorola/intel) & RE. I expanded my learning to solve challenges on hackthisite,enigmahroup,hellboundhackers,hacker.org. ending up on participating multiple international Capture The Flag(CTF) contests(winnings & top 10 followed up). After a while, we formed first Indian international CTF Team - "SegFault" with few of my like-minded friends. I also participated in web bug bounties as well as responsible disclosures which was quite new amongst Indian crowd back then in early 2010-11. Current Bio: With a track record of over a decade in the field, my expertise lies in developing top-tier cybersecurity teams, building & scaling comprehensive large-scale engineering platforms, and conceptualizing robust cybersecurity, risk & compliance programs. I have been a founding security team member for renowned product-led internet companies like Grab, Flipkart, and eBay, playing a pivotal role in building these organizations' overall security and compliance posture right from the ground up. Beyond my leadership role, I've been actively influencing the future of cybersecurity. Serving on the review board of pioneer security conferences, BSides Bengaluru and c0c0n, and collaborating closely with leading industry bodies such as PCI DSS, FS-ISAC, and DSCI, I've ensured my position at the forefront of the global cybersecurity landscape. I'm also an esteemed AWS Dev/Cloud Alliance member in the APAC region and a member of the AWS CISO Circles. My contributions to the field have been recognized in numerous platforms, including the AWS Summit India, where I had the opportunity to deliver a keynote. On the international stage, I have made a significant impact by founding India's premier CTF team, SegFault, and subsequently organizing the global CTF event, HackIM. I have also presented and delivered training at various security conferences (Nullcon, c0c0n, Blackhat, Grace Hopper). I have contributed to the Indian security community, with my involvement with Garage4Hackers and Null reflecting my enduring passion for promoting cybersecurity excellence. Away from work, I'm an avid console gamer and an enthusiast cook, constantly seeking a balance between professional growth and personal interests.
