Hello! I'm Anand Prakash, a security researcher passionate about protecting user data. My journey in the world of cybersecurity started in 2012 during college when I became curious about a Twitter post mentioning a bounty from Facebook. I landed my first bounty in 2013 and soon became interested in the field, ranking 2nd globally on Facebook's bug bounty program in 2014 and 2016, and 3rd in 2015. Over the years, I have found vulnerabilities on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Uber, Tinder, Salesforce, and more, consistently working to protect the data of billions of users. In 2013, I was part of the early security team at Flipkart, where I collaborated with engineers to write secure code and secure infrastructure. I am the first Indian researcher to make it into the top 5 researchers on these companies. In my previous role at AppSecure, I worked with over 130 startups, including billion-dollar companies like PhonePe, Navi, and Udaan, to ensure their security. I was named in Forbes 30 under 30 in the Enterprise Tech category for my contributions to protecting user data. I have found bugs that, if misused by black hat hackers, could have led to the hacking of social media and ride-sharing accounts. Currently, I am leading a team building PingSafe, a cloud security platform that leverages the intelligence I have gained from finding vulnerabilities over the last couple of years.
