Dr. Kumar Padmanabh is working as a senior researcher. Using his unique skillset of (i) Machine Learning (ii) IoT and (iii) Optimization, he is solving business problems of the customers of EBTIC. Following are key industrial poriblem he has solved.
(1) The Fault Prediction and Preventive Maintenance of Machines: There are thousands of equipment and the internal dynamics of these are monitored through hundreds of sensors deployed on every piece of equipment. Like any other equipment, these machines also fail to incur a heavy cost of repair and redundancy. Dr. Kumar Padmanabh built and deployed a solution to predict the failure of this equipment in advance thus minimizing both these costs.
(ii) Load Prediction: In any productive enterprise end business activities imposes electricity load on the equipment involved in business activities. Dr. Kumar Padmanabh modeled these business activities to predict the load on these machines. This load prediction has been deployed in several business houses and is able to predict with more than 94% accuracy. The prediction of the load is used not only for better energy management but to also manage the business activities related to production.
(iii) Model-based Energy Management: Built system to model energy consumption and strategize the energy consumption policy in commercial buildings and telephone exchanges.
