About

I'm now working as a software engineer. I worked as a security consultant at Emaze from 2014 to 2016. I got my PhD in Computer Science at Università degli Studi di Milano in 2014. My research interests included several aspects of Computer Security and Operating Systems. In particular, the main focus of my research is on the applications of hardware-assisted virtualization to various security-related research problems, ranging from malware analysis/detection to forensic. Before beginning my Ph.D., I took my Master Degree in Information and Communication Technologies at Universita` degli Studi di Milano. During my master, I spent three months as a visiting M.Sc. student at University of California, Santa Barbara, working in the seclab under the directions of Profs Giovanni Vigna and Christopher Kruegel. I'm also a member of the Guard@MyLan0 team and I spent many years playing various Capture the Flag competitions, including two Defcon Finals (2008, 2009 [with the Shellphish team]) and two qualifications for Codegate Finals (2009, 2010).
