  • Postpe is a Buy Now, Pay Later (BNPL) product. Users establish accounts using their Aadhar and PAN numbers. Each user receives a credit limit for making purchases, similar to a credit card.
  • The current system handles 150-200 transactional requests per second (RPS) and approximately 2,000 non-transactional RPS.
  • To accommodate the growing customer base, the architecture is being revamped to enhance performance and improve the customer experience.

  • 1. I was a part of "Paytm Payment Bank's UPI Team". I was a member of the team responsible for the development of UPI from which has over 71 million users and more than ~10 million txn per day on average. I was central to the development of several important verticals of UPI including but not limited to Profile Management Service, Transactional Flows and methods to improve the success rate of the created transactional system. I also was part of Perf Testing for this and achieved 450 transactional TPS and 3500 non-transactional services TPS.
  • 2. I was a part of "Paytm Payment Bank's AEPS Team". I was a member of the team responsible for the development of AEPS from scratch serving traffic of 150 transactional TPS and 400 non-transactional TPS cumulative transactions to ~ 1M/day on average. Created Disaster recovery site single handedly which has a total of 6 microservices
  • 3. I was core member of creating DR site for the UPI,AEPS team. Successfully managed to do several smooth DR Drills.
  • 4. Created framework for unlimited scalability of creating our sandbox environments for better integration with main transactional system's sandbox environment.
  • 5. I was core member of 3-way recon engine team for reconciling the status of a txn and settlement of that txn. We scaled up the reconciliation service to settle approximately 10 million transactions in close to 7 minutes.
  • 6. I was part of hotels team and was responsible for managing several services like paytm hotels backend, Proxy Channel Manager. Did some of the revamps in the flow for better success rate of hotels booking, integration with channel managers for hotels inventory for paytm front end. Tech used: Java, MySQL, Spring Boot,JPA, ES.
