• As an Integration Architect my main responsibility was to rectify the various non-standard and haphazard integration styles applied over the years on various applications in the Transactive Banking Domain of ANZ.
• Key Highlight: Authored the first Integration Patterns document and introduced integration standards for our Domain. Devised clever solutions and integration patterns for improving throughput, scalability and efficiency of difficult legacy systems. Been widely appreciated and rewarded for my contributions.

• As a Solution designer my primary responsibility was to design the most feasible and efficient solution for a given business problem in the Cash management vertical.
• Key Highlight: Designed and delivered multiple payment solutions including RTGS and Domestic Low value payment service for New Zealand Transaction Banking Channel. I was also instrumental in redesigning the Payment processing platform built on WPS to make it more robust and scalable.

• Here I was responsible for taking over the design and code of a Limit Management System built by IBM on Websphere Process Server. This has been my 3rd successful project transition responsibility where I had the complete responsibility of transitioning a vendor built application to the ANZ design and development team.
• Key Highlight: I was the sole representative from ANZ to take the transition of the entire Limit Management System built by IBM. I had to plan, liaise and communicate with a lot of different people. I’ve been commended by all stakeholders for successfully completing the entire transition within time and budget.
• Key Learnings: Limit Management, WPS, Planning, Stakeholder Management, People Management, Vendor management.

• As a service designer, my role was to analyse, design and develop SOA based banking services on WPS & ESB.
• Key Highlight: Built from scratch a Cash Processing & Routing platform, hosting services via standard SOA mechanisms to provide functions such as Domestic Payment, Balance and Transaction Enquiry, International Payments, Real Time Payments, ForEx Transactions etc. Mentored several newcomers to be productive on new tool kits within short time-frames.
• I also lead a team in successful migration of our already developed applications from WPS 6.0 to 6.2.
• Key Learnings: I enjoyed the leadership responsibility and the tremendous learning opportunity it provided me. I got to know not only the WPS, ESB, BPM and SOA technologies but also appreciate soft skills such as Leadership and Mentoring.

• My main responsibility in this role was to be a seeded resource for doing development on the Finacle framework for one of the biggest initiatives of those days(Retail IB replacement) and then later help in transitioning this product to ANZ.
• Key Highlight: Because of the high quality of the code I repeatedly delivered, I was later also given the responsibility to setup processes and guidelines to guard the quality of the code delivered by the vendors. Post implementation, I formed part of the Core team of just 4 resources doing the design and development of new functionalities in this application.
• Another key highlight is the frequent appreciation I received from the Onsite architecture team for all the work I had done and this got good growth in my career.
• Key Learnings: Java patterns and frameworks. Continuous integration etc.

• I was part of a small but efficient team that maintains the gigantic ANZ website which is being continuously voted as the best Personal Banking website every year in Australia.
• Key Highlight: I was involved in the development of the website and the various applications within this site. Dwelt into the details of the software, infrastructure as well as network with the help of other teams to identify issues and also identify scope to improve performance and availability.
• Key Learnings: Learnt to appreciate team collaboration in various locations, collaboration with a wide range of customers (different Bank divisions) and most of the time convince the customers on the limitation as well as explain various possibilities of using technology.

• As a project trainee, I was assigned a project to develop a Struts based Java web application for Internal use.
• Not only was the full featured application developed within the stipulated timeframe, but I was also successful in implementing a Continuous Integration Framework using open-source tools such as Ant, Cruise-Control, StrutsTestCases (JUnit), tomcat & CVS for the first time in the company for this reason I was also offered a job here.
