Building Brands, Shaping Reputations, and Keeping It Real With a background spanning Instrumentation Engineering, an MBA in Marketing, and a diploma in Advertising & PR, I’ve been on a mission to create lasting impressions and stir up a little creativity across industries. From transforming global brands to leading teams that somehow don’t implode under pressure, my goal has always been simple: make a difference—and have some fun along the way. Currently, I’m busy shaping and sustaining Godrej Industries Group's (GIG) reputation, telling our story to over 1.1 billion consumers across the globe. But here’s the twist: my career path hasn’t been a straight line—it’s been more like a rollercoaster ride through sales, marketing, branding, and strategy, with pit stops at Emerson, Larsen & Toubro, and Tata Group. A major highlight? Leading the global rebranding and integration of Tata Chemicals across four continents. It was like global Connect-the-Dots… but with more caffeine and less sleep. Some Fun Achievements: •I’m one of the few IABC-accredited business communicators in India, and I’ve bagged the IABC International Gold Quill Award three times. Yes, it’s shiny. •At Godrej, my team and I have racked up awards faster than I can say “Diamond Sabre.” We’ve been named Company of the Year in Asia Pacific and South Asia and ranked #1 six years in a row on Reputation Today’s list of top communications teams. •Have been featured on Provoke Media’s Influence 100 list — consistently from 2018 to current 2024 where I also got the SABRE Individual Achievement Award, that recognizes select individuals who have made a lasting impact on the public relations industry, as determined by PRovoke Media editors. This I’m pretty sure I should frame somewhere! •Oh, and I co-authored The Pursuit of Reputation, a book that’s so good it might be flying off the shelves... at least, that’s what I tell my wife.
