Dr Sahu is a technocrat & innovation enabler in leveraging technology transfer, intellectual property & innovation management across the ecosystem of STI with more than 22 years of academic, research & professional experience. Dr Sahu earned his MPhil & PhD, specialized in intellectual property & innovation management from JNU New Delhi & received Advance Diploma from Copenhagen Business School on innovation management & IP commercialization. Dr Sahu played a key role in receiving National IP Award in 2020 & 2023 respectively from Govt of India as the Best Technology Innovation Support Centre (WIPO-TISC). His specialization include innovation, IP management, technology transfer & commercialization-bringing inventions to the markets, business intelligence, S&T & innovation and public policy respectively with expertise in IP due diligence, technology scouting, IP portfolio management, mentoring start-ups & TBIs, technology incubation services, market survey, competitive intelligence, technology/IP valuation and etc. He initiated & led many international collaboration like USPTO, IIA, UK-IPO, WIPO, DKPTO, EBTC, NRC & coordinated more than 100 collaborative MOU in innovation front with various universities, academia, PSUs, industries and MSMEs like IISc, NIOT, JNU, & many more. Presently Dr Sahu heads Outreach Office of NRDC at Bhubaneswar, Vishakhapatnam and Guwahati & Pune. He has been associated with various Committee of Government of India STI missions in DST, DSIR, MEITY, Office of the PSA, CGPDTM, CSIR,NIOT, MSME, STPI & various state government bodies. He coordinated Govt of India Taskforce Study under DSIR on “Innovation Policies in China, Korea and Taiwan: Implication for India” and MEA', Govt of India-ITEC Program on "Intellectual Property & and Technology Transfer & South South Cooperation for African Countries". He is also Adjunct Professor on IP& Technology Management affiliated honorary with many prominent institutions & universities. He advised many TBIs, COEs including Mentor of STPI, Govt of India NGEIP. Dr Sahu also associated with "WIPO- Match" WIPO-Green platform towards achieving the goal of South South Cooperation in technology transfer and cooperation and green technologies for SDGs. Dr Sahu recipient of GIPC Awards, Golden Pillar Award, Best Employee Award, WIPF IP Excellence Award and IPTSE & IPR Gorilla Awards for the promotion of IP and innovation in the country and received many recognition from various organizations, institutions & industry bodies.
