About

I see, hear, and feel stories, and then help them travel by sharing. My journey in journalism has taken me through some of the most respected newsrooms, from The Economic Times and Mint to TechCrunch and Times of India, over the span of more than two decades. For me, journalism is more than just reporting facts; it's about connecting with people. Whether I'm reaching one person or a thousand, each connection is meaningful. "Even one is an audience," I often say, and that's the guiding principle behind FactorDaily's storytelling approach. But my storytelling isn't limited to articles or digital posts. I take it into the real world, creating spaces where stories are not just heard but felt. Whether it's a community gathering or a one-on-one conversation during a train journey, these are the moments that bring me true fulfillment. And speaking of trains, there's something about their rhythm that fuels my creativity. My approach to journalism is a lot like a train journey—always moving, yet keenly aware that the most compelling stories are often found in the landscapes we pass by and the intersections we navigate.

  • Great stories tell themselves—you just have to make them visible. Girish’s story is one of those. He gave me the space to question, challenge, and shape it with honesty. All In is our attempt to add something real to India’s entrepreneurial literature—raw, moving, and honest. It’s also a quiet tribute to the early team members and families who carry the weight of these journeys, often without recognition.

  • FactorDaily is a nonprofit journalism lab that combines learning with doing. We are a tiny, slow, and human-centric journalism lab which focuses on a few topics as multi-year projects, staying away from news cycles. With our Fellowship Program, we help journalists and non-journalists tell stories that matter in society. Our formats of storytelling include physical spaces, audio, animation and text. We tell stories that travel from, or to, the communities.
