With over 16 years of experience across venture capital, policy advocacy, and business development, Amit Pandey has played a pivotal role in mobilising domestic pools of capital for Indian funds and startups. As the Lead - VC Ecosystem & Capacity Building at IVCA, he collaborates closely with institutional investors, policymakers, and regulators to shape policies that strengthen India’s private capital ecosystem. In the last eight years, IVCA has expanded its VC member base from nearly 20 to over 200, solidifying its position as the leading industry body for private capital in India. The association has also been at the forefront of policy advocacy, making over 100 representations last year alone, resulting in more than 18 positive regulatory changes that have benefited the industry. Amit has been instrumental in driving key policy changes, including resolving Angel Tax, and has led flagship initiatives such as #VC101, #AltCap101, and regulatory roundtables to enhance industry knowledge and engagement. His expertise spans marketing, PR, and operational leadership, alongside entrepreneurial ventures in startups and venture-focused platforms.
