About

Prem founded Pontaq, the first UK-India Innovation Fund in history, to cross pollinate technology between UK and India. He defined and executed the overall strategy of Pontaq i.e. technologyy transfer from UK to India and vice versa. Prem fostered partnerships with many private organizations and government bodies to accelerate growth of portfolio companies e.g. partnership with Haryana, Gujarat, West Bengal and Tamil Nadu to promote innovation exchange between UK and these state governments. He also established a partnership with the central govt of India and state government of Tamil Nadu to create a Fintech CoE, based out of Chennai, India, in order to incubate Fintech companies India and give them access to UK and beyond. Prem also successfully enabled setting up the first ever UK-India Tech Hub in UK, in partnership with a £1.7B business district, based out of London. It is believed that, globally, this is the first time a venture capital fund has partnered with an international business district to provide portfolio firms funding and access to international markets. Under Prem’s leadership, Pontaq has also expanded its operations into India and US and was also recognised by the former Prime Minister of UK, Theresa May.
