• Worked on algorithm implementation and benchmarking of Support Vector Machines for classification.

• Worked on implementation of machine learning and statistical analysis algorithms. Worked on Support Vector Machines, Analysis of Variance and Rank Sum tests. Also developed significance testing algorithms specific to Gene Expression Analysis for GeneSpring, the industry standard software for Microarray data analysis. Built the Gene Set Enrichment Analysis (GSEA) algorithm developed at the BROAD Institute, MIT and the Gene Set Analysis (GSA) algorithm developed at the Department of Statistics, Stanford University for the GeneSpring platform. Also built text mining and user interface modules for the same and organized a 2-day Python training program for the new college graduates.

• Worked on algorithm devleopment and implementation of a petroleum shipment scheduling module for Oman Oil Marketing. Was introduced to resource allocation and real world transportation problems. Code developed was integrated with the client's software.

• Developed diagnostic algorithms for tool/machine failure prediction from time series data, an image recognition module for automated Silicon wafer alignment, a prototype for shape measurement by fringe reflection tomography and programmed a RoHS Database Manager Software. Achieved project goals in stipulated time by semi-automating the modeling process.
