• BlueCoat is a new entrant in India, atleast in terms of setting up a development center. They acquired my previous company (S7 Software) and we are currently setting up various teams, actively involved in the transition of the same.
• I am was initially responsible for two teams - ProxyClient (the client software that is used to complement the BlueCoat ProxySG appliance box, and is used by mobile and microbranch users) and ProxyRA (a transparent SOCKS based VPN solution).
• Later I managed the ProxySG development team in Bangalore and was responsible for multiple components of that product.
• Finally I managed the Automation infrastructure team, and was tasked with enhancing the existing framework with something more scalable and usable. As part of that merged two existing frameworks under a single consistent interface and also added other user interface improvements to the reporting components.
• Eventually BlueCoat closed its India Engineering operation and so now onto my next new innings.
