I believe in spotting brilliance early and backing it with conviction. As the Founder of Karpe Diem Ventures, I invest in early-stage startups in India. Bold ideas deserve bold bets and that belief shapes our investment philosophy. Before stepping into venture capital, I served as MD & CEO of Aptech Ltd. and as MD of CA Technologies India, scaling businesses across domains. I authored BOND to BABA, a business strategy book listed by Amazon among its “Memorable Books of 2018.” I have also contributed to India’s business landscape as Chairman of CII Western Region (2017–18), an honorary role. Beyond business, I am deeply passionate about storytelling. I have produced four acclaimed Marathi plays, finding parallels between the chaos of theatre and the unpredictability of startups. And yes, I do switch off my phone during Formula 1 race days. Some rituals are non-negotiable.

I have stepped down as MD & CEO of Aptech Ltd. in November, 2016 and continue my association with the company as a Director on the Board of Aptech.
Aptech is a global education company, which has trained more than 7 million students over the last 28 years and now operates 1300 plus centres, across the world. During my seven year stint at Aptech, I turned around the company and expanded its footprint to 42 emerging countries, with its brands of Arena and Aptech. By adding new product portfolios, Aptech is now a a multi-product, multi-geography company; probably the only Indian company with a retail B2C presence in so many emerging countries.
