Prof. Sarangi is a Professor in the Computer Science and Engineering department, IIT Delhi. He works on computer architecture, cybersecurity, CAD, digital VLSI circuits, futuristic operating systems, and the internet of things. He has published 100+ papers in prestigious journals and conferences, has been granted 5 US patents, and 5 Indian patents. At IIT Delhi he leads a team of brilliant Master's and Ph.D students, and works on state of the art problems in computer architecture, operating systems, and cyber-security with an industry relevance. He is an education enthusiast. He has written two popular books on computer architecture -- Basic Computer Architecture (White Falcon 2021) and Next-Gen Computer Architecture (WhiteFalcon 2023). He is the founder of a AI-based CAD and HPC startup Thought2Design Systems, which is creating next-generation PCB design and 3D CAD tools. It also offers HPC and scientific computing services. He is a senior member of IEEE.
