• OIS (order integration suite) is an internal project to HP, which support the HP business in
• Receiving and delivering the HP Orders to its clients. EAI used to integrate all the OIS
• systems to achieve the business requirement. EAI integrates around 30+ different OIS
• applications using Tomcat
• This project aims at integrating most of OIS Applications with each other using EAI, through
• either Synchronous or Asynchronous Integrations. Here, EAI Integrations clustered with
• front-end applications, providing a single consistent access to application interfaces and
• shielding users from having to learn to interact with different software packages, with
• providing a coupled connectivity
• Roles & Responsibilities:
• Responsible for handling Release Management for 70+ applications
• Involved in creating Release plan and walkthrough with every counterpart to get their
• inputs.
• Making sure all depending activities where covered in the plan.
• Involved in making sure all the dependent activities where performed in the order.
• Automated build process using automation tools like Jenkins
• Involved in automating the release process to both production and non-production
• environments.
• Supported setting up of various environments in multi-tier architecture involving load
• balancers, Apache webservers, Oracle database,
• Developed custom scripts to automate the build and release process.
• Monitoring environment using monitoring tools like Wily monitoring tool and custom shell script
• Providing on call, weekend and deployment support.
• Provided technical and tactical requirements for data center build while ensuring the
• compatibility of various software technologies to be deployed in the data center
• Resolved production incidents by reporting root cause analysis and proposing
• preventive measures. Created proactive monitoring scripts with alerting mechanism.
• Involved in applying security patches using Tomcat Utility.
