About

I am Dr. Sreedath Panat, a PhD graduate (2022) from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and Dual-degree graduate from IIT Madras (2017). Education is my passion. After my MIT PhD, I returned to India to build my organizations and programs in the education space based in India, for students and professionals all over the world. Along with my co-founders and good friends Dr. Raj Abhijit Dandekar (MIT PhD) and Dr. Rajat Dandekar (Purdue PhD), I work my blood and sweat in 4 aspects. 1) World's 1st Scientific Machine Learning (SciML) bootcamp: This is curated for students and industry professionals who want to transition to ML with no ML background and no coding background. For details, check this out: https://flyvidesh.online/ml-bootcamp 2) Long Term Mentorship (LTM) for Masters and PhD application: This is our flagship program. From 2022-2024, we have helped 300+ students in landing their dream universities for MS and PhD. Our alumni currently study at top universities including MIT, Harvard, CMU, Johns Hopkins etc. For details, check this out: https://flyvidesh.online/ 3) AI program for high-school and middle-school students: This is the most comprehensive AI program for school students worldwide. We have curated this program with a singular goal: to make the students of today AI-ready citizens of tomorrow. For details, check this out: https://vizuara.ai/ 4) Virtual Research Laboratories: While studying Kepler's 2nd law in grade 11th, I could not visualize how "planets sweep equal areas" in equal intervals of time. I struggled a lot and wished there was something visual and hands-on. At Vizuara Research Labs, we convert every single Physics, Chemistry, and Biology concepts to 3D virtual lab format. We have already impacted 20,000+ students as part of this. For details, check this out: https://vizuara.com/ In the pursuit of our vision, along with my co-founders, we also educate students via our free newsletter. Join our FREE NEWSLETTER with 10,000+ people. We will share information about AI-ML programs, MS/PhD application tips, mentorship, and other opportunities. • 1) Development of a novel electrostatic approach for waterless contactless solar panel cleaning, making the operation of photovoltaics efficient and truly sustainable.
  • 2) Breaking nanoscale emulsions is a century-old challenge. My work on electrostatic phase separation of nanoscale emulsion introduces a sustainable way of separating water and oil phases without using environmentally toxic chemical demulsifiers.
  • 3) CO2 capture from power plants is prohibitively expensive due to huge absorber tower installations. Our work on mist-based CO2 capture significantly reduces the CAPEX, potentially eliminates the use of absorber towers, and opens the door to much better sorbents.

  • Study of Thermo-Mechanics of Lithium Orthosilicate Granular Bed. Lithium Orthosilicate granular bed exhibits strong coupling between temperature and stress fields when subjected to irradiation. Change in conductivity due to induced stress was studied by creating a 2D section of the Helium Cooled Pebble Bed (HCPB). Simulated the multi-physics in Abaqus. Temperature and stress variation plots were obtained and stress concentration regions were identified for optimizing the location of Helium coolant channels.

  • 1) Machine vision: Classification of rice grain varieties arranged in scattered and heap fashion using image processing: An algorithm based on convexity of grain boundary was developed for separating touching grains in the images of rice grains arranged in a scattered fashion. It could successfully identify two touching grains as separate grains.
  • 2) Machine vision: Evaluation and characterization of deterministic laser-textured surfaces using machine vision.
  • 3) Dynamics of machinery: Dynamic instability characteristics of rolling element bearings
