• Developed Multi-Asset Pair Trading Strategy. Contrary to traditional ways of partner selection, novel Clustering techniques were employed for identifying partner triple for each target stock. Deployed Vine Copulas to model tail dependencies and ML techniques to effectively estimate the copulas parameters. An empirical study on the S&P 500 reveals a significant 12.25% p.a. return with a 1.12 Sharpe ratio after transaction costs. Tail risk is limited, with max drawdown at 6.57%.

• Deployed end to end Predictive Model to detect Tobacco Sheet Defects which significantly reduced the Tobacco Wastes and hence, the Operational Cost by approx. $2 million p.a. Took the responsibility to gather relevant data and understand process flow from 6 different manufacturing units in 3 different continents. With over 450 process parameters (such as density of slurry mixture, temperature of the heating belt etc.) involved in the preparation of tobacco sheets, taking all these parameters into account, a classification model was built to infer the ranges of values on which process parameter should operate to significantly reduce wastes.

The absorption tower absorbs unwanted gaseous streams from the crude supply. The pain point is these towers on subsea platforms are half as efficient as they are on onshore facilities. To improve the efficiency of these towers, CFD model along with deep learning techniques were studied to analyze the real fluid interactions between the liquid stream and gaseous stream inside the tower which is exhibiting bizarre motions due to the sea swells.
