My creative journey began while I was studying for Bachelors in Science, B.sc at Delhi University's Lady Irwin College with a specialty in space planning science and psychology, which motivated me to pursue a master's degree in CAD/CAM, where I learned vast skills around 2D and 3D prototyping software. For 3 years I worked as a Communication and Interior Design worker at IKEA India. where we needed to interact closely with clients and understand their needs and requirements. A highlight of this experience was collaborating with the Lead communication designer on upcoming customer-facing offline and online projects and learned that there are unexpected similarities between UX and Interior, for example, user Research, their needs and activities, user flow in the layout and functionality of the products which made the field seem even more appealing. This gave me a great opportunity to improve my empathizing skills which are very important in the design process. From then I loved solving problems that users have, offline through research and online through providing relevant solutions. Since then, I've been self-learning content, constructing numerous projects, and gaining a better grasp of people's wants which gradually led me to learn more about the vast topic of applying design to solve user problems. And I am now enrolled in the Springboard UI/UX Design Career track. I have improved upon essential design techniques like Empathy Mapping, User Personas, Prototyping, and Wireframing to name a few. Gained good knowledge of professional design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD. I am also familiar with prototyping tools like Marvel and InVision. In addition to other details, experience has taught me how to build strong relationships with all departments in my previous organizations. I have the ability to work within a team as well as cross-team.
