Siddhant Sahu — CEO

I am currently a masters student studying computer science at University and ETH Zurich. My interest in photography lead me to the domain of applying machine learning/deep learning algorithms to images. From then on, I moved on to broadening my horizons by not limiting myself to just images but by also applying these algorithms to all sorts of data, like 3D point cloud LiDAR, speech, finance data, bio-medical, data from relational database tables, to name a few. On the other side of the coin, whilst fetching data from these gargantuan datasets, I learned about the importance of data engineering, big data, building large scale distributed systems and the deployment of these as micro-services in production following event-driven architecture. This has been my journey from photography to computer vision to machine learning to large scale distributed systems. My current research interests are in the intersection of machine learning and large scale distributed systems, cloud computing and big data. In addition to this, I am very much intrigued by virtual reality and event based vision cameras.
