  • My responsibilities include creating better experience for txtWeb users & working closely with sales team to drive growth.A typical day @ office would consist of talking with sales team to get insights from partners(telecom operators) , talk with users and coordinate with engineering team for ongoing tasks.

  • ■ Learning from above experiment,spearheaded a initiative(txtBrahma) to open up the app platform to people without coding knowledge and thereby taking a giant leap towards txtWeb's vision of letting anyone publish content on txtWeb. Got appreciation for this initiative from Scott Cook,Founder,Intuit
  • ■ Worked closely with engineering team & pioneered use of external tools on developer website to solve user problems with minimum development efforts & deliver best results. Tools were related to targeted in-site developer communication & one for Bug alerts and analysis
  • ■ Led an initiative to drive more Facebook traffic to app pages by introducing 'on the fly' promotional image creation so that App pages get an 'edge' in news-feed thus resulting in more users discovering txtWeb. This led to 40% increase in traffic from Facebook

  • ■ Cricket themed contests & campaigns
  • A lot of user acquisition happened via cricket score app on txtWeb. we were trying to solve for engagement of cricket users.Some of the ideas included CricGuru- A score prediction contest,BookCricket ,@Four- Cricket quiz This along with other campaigns resulted in very high engagement rates of these users.
  • ■ Conceptualized,developed and executed GTM for 'April Fool' campaign where txtWeb was provided as a tool which users could use to fool their friends,Tool went Viral which resulted in 200% increase in app usage in a single day
  • ■ Conceptualized a unique campaign for valentine's day(@crush) where in anybody can send a anonymous proposal which will be revealed only if it's independently reciprocated.
  • ■ Conceptualized & executed a 'Human chain on sms' campaign and tied it up with cricket theme which resulted in making the app second highest user grossing app
  • ■ On business side of things,I worked closely with technical & product teams of partners like ESPN, IndiaProperty.com to conceptualize and develop apps on txtWeb platform.
  • ■ In addition I helped forge a partnership with one of the major evening dailies in India which contributed to ~5% of users acquired to platform in that year.

  • Single photo is never enough to describe a person but a Facebook profile picture doesn't have any scope beyond that.But with introduction of a coverphoto on Facebook,we felt coverphoto would be the right fit for showcasing different sides of a person. We tried to do that by auto creating a awesome collage of a user's tagged photo which could be a perfect fit for a coverphoto.
  • App saw a huge uptake and saw close to 1.5 L Facebook users using/adding the app to upload lakhs of coverphotos.Usage spanned across countries with highest being south american countries of Chile & Argentina followed by USA,Philippines & India. At it's peak it saw 25K monthly active users (March'12).All of this happened with in product-virility & zero marketing budget.
  • In addition to conceiving the whole idea,I was responsible
  • ■ For designing the whole product flow which included figuring out all the touch points for Facebook API integration and creating awesome UX.
  • ■ For building the web-services which were consumed by UI to accomplish the tasks
  • ■ Understand user behavior and add features to deliver delightful user experience.One of the major ones included becoming a meta search engine of coverphotos spread across web which went on to contribute biggest chunk of photos eventually uploaded via coverphoto.co.
