• OysterConnect.com (www.oysterconnect.com) is India's first platform which provides a Virtual Student Workforce to businesses. With over 50,000 students registered on the platform, OysterConnect.com can fulfill projects all across India. We undertake business-critical, large-scale, multi-city projects and execute them in a distributed manner for high efficiency and quality at a lower cost. The platform manages Application, Testing, Shortlisting and Selection. It also manages work submissions, quality checks, stipend release and certificate release, thereby automating the entire project life-cycle.
• We won the NSDC Innovation for Skills Challenge 2014. We achieved a revenue of more than 1 Cr in the last fiscal year.

• Define the product strategy and roadmap. Create detailed requirement documentation with prioritized features.

• Product Architecture & Development for various startups and NGOs. Created a Java-based server for a mobile product for supply chain management of medicines in rural areas (Logistimo). • Managed a 9 member team responsible for flash based web conferencing integrations into Cisco MeetingPlace and MeetingPlace Express product lines.
• Created a web conferencing team from the ground up. Recruited 5 members, trained and developed them to take ownership of the product going forward.
• Successfully delivered a major release for the Cisco MeetingPlace product line which introduced a new web conferencing engine, on time and with high quality. Owner for release execution for all cross functional aspects including functional test, performance test, customer solution test, system test, documentation, localization, etc.
• Managed a joint development relationship with Adobe. Involved in defining the requirements and contractual statements. Responsible for passing the key milestone deliverables and payments.
• Deeply involved in architecture, design and performance improvements in the product.
• Engineering liaison for customer facing groups - Alpha, EFT, TAC, Escalations and Cisco Managed Services.

• Engineering lead for a release for the Cisco MeetingPlace product line which delivered higher scalability in video conferencing. Worked on the video integration with a geographically diverse team.
• Co-authored a draft on SIMPLE Instant Message Sessions, which is a protocol to convey binary MIME content over a long lasting session.
• Architected and developed a distributed, redundant and scalable IP-based voice/video/data conferencing solution.
• Architected and designed a Recording, Streaming and Storage service to record conferences.
• Prototyped a feature using the new Java Platform on Cisco IP Phones. This was a proof of concept of how easily applications could be developed and deployed for the new phone platform.
• Architected and developed a CTI application called IPMA. This sits as a feature on top of Cisco CallManager. This product helps assistants handle calls for their managers. It implemented such features like Do Not Disturb and Send All Calls. I developed the Java application which runs on the assistant desktops. The UI was written in Swing. It communicated with the server using a proprietary protocol. The server used CTI to communicate with the CCM.

• The training gave me an exposure to the systems and applications used in oil exploration activities and hands-on experience at oil rigs. The applications used various methods for carrying out analysis of the ground composition to find out plausible oil reservoirs.
