I have done my graduation in Mathematics (with Statistics and Physics as allied subjects) from Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan and recently completed my post graduation in Bio-statistics and Demography from International Institute for Population Sciences(IIPS), Mumbai. The first time I was exposed to research was through my M.Sc. curriculum which required me to do field work on hygiene and sanitation conditions at Limbunibagh slum area, Mumbai. I was very excited to apply my theoretical knowledge to practical experience, and the project was highly beneficial as it involved proposal writing, the creation of questionnaires, data collection, analysis, report writing, and presentation. Because of this field work, I got the opportunity to closely observe poor health and hygiene conditions of the habitants in the slums of Mumbai. These exposures laid the foundation for my Master’s dissertation entitled “Late Initiation of Breastfeeding and its Association with Selected Adverse Child Health Outcomes in India.” I have used the National Family Health Survey (NFHS-4) dataset to do this study under the patronage of Dr. Manas R. Pradhan. I started my professional journey as a Data Analyst at Academy of Management Studies (AMS), Lucknow. My responsibilities were to check consistency in the data set, draw meaningful insights from the data. I have used Microsoft Power BI, Microsoft Excel, SPSS and Stata. During pandemic (COVID-19), I joined Extentia as a Data Science Trainee. Later on I was promoted as a Data Science Professional. Currently, I am exploring a slightly different but interesting domain: Salesforce. I am curious and willing to learn new things, and Salesforce is a cloud-based customer relationship management (CRM) platform that enables businesses to manage their customer interactions, sales, and marketing activities more effectively. As a Data Science Professional, my expertise can help organizations use the Salesforce platform to gain a competitive edge by leveraging data-driven insights. In summary, my work as a Data Science Professional at Extentia Information Technology involves using data to provide actionable insights that help businesses make informed decisions. My exploration of the Salesforce domain demonstrates my ability to adapt and learn new technologies, which I believe will serve me well in my career.
