• Company-Wide Registry and Inventory Systems: These systems play a critical role in transforming data and models into valuable assets by centralizing and standardizing asset management across Apple.
• Compliance Reporting Interface: We’re establishing a unified reporting platform that clarifies various data privacy regulations, providing a clear, consistent approach to compliance.
• Privacy as a Service: This platform offers powerful tools like data obfuscation, deletion, and masking at multiple granularities, allowing data sources across the company to integrate seamlessly to uphold user rights and meet compliance standards.
• Approval Terms/Legal Holds/Legal Terms of Usage: Ensuring that all data and models use complies with legal requirements and aligns with Apple’s commitment to user trust.
• Data and ML Lineage: Building systems that track the lifecycle of data and ML models, ensuring transparency and traceability.
• Privacy Aware Access Control and Authorization Services: Providing robust security and access management to protect data across all systems.
• ML and AI Governance: Setting and enforcing guidelines to govern the ethical and compliant use of machine learning and AI across Apple.

• I lead the Data Platform Experience organization at Apple Cloud Services. Our mission was to make the platform as accessible and effective as possible for our customers, enabling them to move quickly and leverage data to drive business outcomes. We focused on using the best tools and approaches to deliver services that provide real value.
• In this role, my organization has delivered several key company-wide initiatives:
• Enterprise-wide Catalog System: We built Apple’s largest catalog system, streamlining data management and governance practices, and scaling it to support hundreds of data warehouses across the company.
• Notebooks as a Service: We introduced and scaled notebooks as a service, empowering thousands of internal data engineers, data scientists, and other users with robust, flexible analytical tools.
• Unified Data Platform Interface: We created the Data Platform Console, establishing a cohesive interface and user experience that defines how data platform services are presented to customers throughout Apple.
• iCloud Privacy Modernization: We modernized and enhanced privacy protections for iCloud’s analytical store, developing a best-in-class solution from the ground up to ensure privacy and compliance.
