• Had to observe the bottlenecks in support delivery team, and then help them to get efficient in the process. Helped engineering team to get development process in place, with more services being provided and analytics implemented in internal services. This helped management to understand where to spend money on infra. Also implemented O_AUTH based services so, team could get better structure when accessing services related to production Vs testing.

• Scrawl-e: An effort to have comments/notes on any content of internet, so people can discuss and remember what they read on web-pages. - similar to how google docs comment works.
• killbills: An mobile app to make expense report easy, Specially OCR on a receipt's photo, so itemized bill is presented by just taking photos - similar to concur

• Candee - An effort to bring e-commerce to tier-3 and smaller cities, specially giving a PoS tablet to kirana shops, and allow them to manage their inventory and also have option of home-delivery. Plan was to make money from the distributors, because they can send the appropriate shipment of products on time to that place. Today, it is majorly handled by a person on the ground collecting information of inventory once in a week or month and sending it after some more days, this causes delay in shipment, and makes consumers shift to other brands if the product is not available on time.
• Along with all this, had to talk to CAs to keep the taxation and legal work, and also keep attending conferences etc to keep in touch with other entrepreneurs and investors.

• As part of the job, had to mentor the team, conduct 1:1s to keep the team motivated, make sure team was not blocked on any operations related delays etc. Tried out agile / scrum model inside the team, created sub teams, and empowered the team to work independently while making sure they met the deadline. Also tried pair programming in some cases.
• Helped the team by taking care managing bugzilla and also managed documentation effort. Tried different meeting techniques to reduce time in meetings for developers and allowed them to work on product for more time.

• Helped team members to come out with designs to solve technical problems. Spent time discussing about the new methods to resolve technical issues etc.

• Moved to Gluster HQ at Bay Area when it just had 2 people (both founders). As part of day job, worked with customers to get them a proper storage solution using Gluster. Solved the problems faced by users of product during non-office hours :-)
• During this time, Gluster grew from 6 people team to 30 people team, and I happened to learn the life cycle of building company and understood the criticality of building the product from scratch.
