• Scaled PayPal Commerce Platform to 198 countries supported by PayPal. PayPal Commerce Platform is the new merchant servicing experience with personalization, enhanced product discovery, and streamlined merchant activation.
• Launched "One Touch Seller Signup" to help PayPal SMBs expand their business to PayPal partner marketplaces and gain more buyers. Led strategic discussions and integration with top marketplaces like Walmart, Google, Wish.com, etc. Scaled the product from 0 to 250k Small and Medium businesses.
• Scaled PayPal Shipping Solution in Europe through a strategic partnership with Packlink, a Europe-based shipping company. Was core part of the team that led commercial discussions and operations. Designed the end-to-end Shipping flow and worked with PayPal and the Packlink design and engineering team to launch the product.

• Was selected to do a rotation program as Product Marketing Manager at PayPal's London office.
• Conducted more than 60 user interviews to get user feedback on PayPal's upcoming next-gen products like High Yield Savings, budgeting solutions which would eventually become part of PayPal super app. Summarized the user learnings and shared them with the product team.
• Researched and prepared a competitive analysis on the key fintech players and Neo banks in the Europe region. Outlined the next set of opportunities for PayPal in Europe.

May 2016 – Nov 2018 · 2 yrs 6 mos

• Found Product Management as my calling and transitioned from a full-stack engineer to a Product Manager.
• Led the demerger of Paypal and eBay Shipping and re-launched PayPal Shipping solution in Canada used by more than 65k SMBs.
• Through a strategic partnership with a startup "Aftership", scaled PayPal automated tracking capability from 3 to 481+ shipping carriers which resulted in 8.9M USD in annual loss savings.
• Led the entire business negotiation, contract, and partnership working closely with the Aftership CEO.
• Worked with an Irish parter, eShopWorld to launch an end-to-end Shipping solution in Singapore as our test market with a plan to scale to Europe next year. Defined the data sharing, revenue sharing and the business model for the partnership. Unfortunately, the product didn't find the right Product-market fit in Singapore but the data sharing model paved way for many future partnerships.

• Started as Software Engineer and left the position as Senior Software Engineer
• Worked as full-stack engineer across PayPal Shipping, Reporting, Invoicing, insights, and Money management teams.
• Built PayPal Shipping app V2 on the java and node.js stack. The new Shipping app reduced time to print a shipping label by 38%.

• Founded the Chennai Chapter of Startup Weekend.
• Scaled the community from 0 to 5000 members.
• Organized/facilitated more than 8 events with a total participation of 1000+ participants.
• Built a strong team of passionate volunteers who helped organize and run the event.
• Built network in the local entrepreneurial community to scout for sponsors, mentors and event judges. Oversaw community reach out and marketing to bring participants to the events.
• My passion and skills in scaling the startup community in Chennai resulted in invitations from many National and International events.
• Invited to WebSummit Dublin, 2015.
• Invited to South Asian Youth Conference in Sri Lanka, 2015.
• Selected to participate in the Preparing Global Leaders Academy, Jordan 2016.
• Selected to participate at HPAIR conference, in Harvard, USA, 2017
• Invited to facilitate the Startup weekend event in Sri Lanka in 2016.
• Currently, the community is independently organizing and running events and I have taken a passive and advisory role.
