I lead the technical strategy, product roadmap, and the global software engineering teams at ShapeBlue (the CloudStack Company), providing leadership and mentoring to the ever-growing ShapeBlue Team. https://www.shapeblue.com/leadership-team/ I’ve been involved with Apache CloudStack (ACS) project since 2012, when I was first made a committer in the opensource project. I’m also the top committer of Cloudstack by the number of commits. I joined the ACS PMC in 2015 and in the year 2023 I served as the project’s VP & PMC Chairman. I was elected member of the ASF in 2024. I’ve authored several CloudStack tools, frameworks, sub-systems and many of the CloudStack’s flagship features. I also wrote the CloudStack “hackerbook” developer handbook. I’ve experience and expertise in developing feature design and specification, product roadmap and strategy, project planning and execution, structuring processes and building consensus both at work and in the larger opensource community. I’m hands-on and impact driven, producing both outcomes and output at work and my leadership style is to lead by example, empowering others to deliver their best. I’ve track record of constantly producing value and delivering results for both my organisation and customers. I’ve worked with government and Fortune 100 customers who are some of the world’s largest CloudStack users, who are in the enterprise, telecom and cloud services providers space, in US, UK, Europe, Japan, India and other parts of the world. I regularly speak at CloudStack and related events, meet-ups and conferences. I’ve been also chairing and organising the CloudStack India User Group (CSIUG) meetups since 2022.
